This past Saturday, as is customary, our current past president – Bernard Castellon – organized the Presidents’ bonspiel. Ten of our past presidents were present to help him out 🙂 It’s always fun for the members to see them hard at work 🙂 And the food this year was divine!

Kudos to Bernard and Maria for all their hard work. The Presidents’ bonspiel is really the perfect event to kick off the holidays season!
I would like to thank all the golfers/curlers who participated in the event on Saturday, October 14th. It was a great day where we all played a 12 hole scramble at Elm Ridge, curled 6 ends at Glenmore, enjoyed a chicken dinner from Cote-St-Luc BBQ, had a few drinks, and played a poker tournament to finish the night.
Winners (47 points): Scott Leslie, Dominique Ricard, Jeff Barkun and Mitch Fogel
Tied 2nd (42 points): John Gurman, Wanda Edwards, Yves Lanthier and Agnes Lanthier
Tied 2nd (42 points): Felix Asselin, Maurice Cayouette, Tom Wharry and Tricia Anderson

Closest to the Pin: Jeff Barkun, Bill Foliot and Rob Doran
Poker Winners: John Gurman & Wanda Edwards
Congrats to all the Winners!
See you all next year.
You’ll notice this season that the Glenmore league schedules and standing are presented in a new format. I’m still working hard to customize the package to best suit our needs, so please be patient while we iron out the kinks! In a few days, I’ll post some details to help everyone find their team information.
Please note that the curling clinics planned for this week have been postponed to next week – Monday and Tuesday (October 2nd and 3rd) – due to the abnormally hot September weather.
Thank you for you understanding.
